What is Eterm?Eterm is a terminal emulator in the spirit of xterm or rxvt. It was originally part of Enlightenment (the window manager) or at least I think so. What is different?This Eterm is a stripped down version of the original. It has no support for themes, background images, pixmapped scrollbars, psuedo-transparency, threads, or any of the other bloat which nobody uses anyway. The result is a much smaller memory footprint (it uses about 25% less memory than the Debian version). This version also works perfectly with my own eterm-vga terminfo entry (later versions of Eterm is broken). |
